The nature park of Ses Salines de Formentera is home to the largest, oldest living being in the world. This is a 100,000 year-old oceanic posidonia 8 kilometres across, part of a 700-kilometre posidonia colony which stretches as far as Ses Salines de Ibiza.

The nature park of Ses Salines de Formentera is also the place in the world which receives the largest amount of biophotons from the sun. This privileged position has stimulated the life and growth of posidonia, which over the last 100,000 years has spread over the seabed to form a vast, genetically homogeneous meadow. The posidonia enormously increases the amount of oxygen and naturally filters the sea water surrounding the island of Formentera to leave it purer and more crystalline than anywhere else in the world.
It is these organic sea waters that feed the ponds of Ses Salines de Formentera.

In the salt pans traces appear of more than 20 minerals derived from the sea water which has been purified in this uniquely natural way and which enjoys the benefit of the considerable energy this natural site receives from the sun. Thus, this energy is harnessed in our organic sea salts and minerals, including silicium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, lithium, zinc, manganese, vanadium and cobalt, among others, all of great importance in nourishing your body with renewed energy, it is about the Formentera salt.

This is why Ses Salines de Formentera provide organic minerals and salts of the highest quality to help care for your well-being and health.
